Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Project Linus blankets in Charlotte, North Carolina come in a variety of sizes,
depending on the child's age and the chapter's needs:
• Preemie: 30 in x 30 in
• Infant-baby-toddler: 36 in x 36 in
• Grade school: 36 in x 42 in or 45 in
• Teens to 17 years old: 45 in or 54 in x 60 in and larger
depending on the child's age and the chapter's needs:
• Preemie: 30 in x 30 in

• Grade school: 36 in x 42 in or 45 in
• Teens to 17 years old: 45 in or 54 in x 60 in and larger
Project Linus blankets must meet the following national guidelines:
• Be at least 36 in x 36 in finished
• Be made from new, clean, washable materials
• Be in infant, child, or teen friendly colors
• Be made from 100% cotton fabric, flannel, fleece, or acrylic yarn
• Be free of pins or beads
• Come from environments free from contaminates
Project Linus blankets are donated to children ages 0–18. Some chapters
may have more narrow requirements based on the needs of the facilities to
which they donate.
Inside the door here at Just Sew Happy, you'll see the dedicated bin for these special donations. If your quilt is finished, place it inside!
If you would like help to quilt and bind your quilt top to donate, we are more than happy to help do that for preemie-teen sized quilts. Please, for now, no quilts larger than throw sized.
