Chain of Geese

Chain of Geese is made up of half-square triangles and squares. The center can be a panel or large scale print, or use it as a base for applique.

Instructions are for a toddler quilt or wall hanging, lap or twin size quilt.

Sizes and yardage are in the pictures.

Quilting can be lines through the chains. Use a walking foot and serpentine stitch. (Unevenly spaced wavy lines don’t show as much as unevenly spaced straight lines do.) The center of the quilt would be the perfect place for some free motion quilting. The outer border is wide enough to put a border design. Or simply use an edge-to-edge design.
